Today was quite an exciting day because we had our first official American Medical Women’s Association [AMWA] at OUWB [click on the link and “Like” us on Facebook!] meeting and it was a huge success! We had a great group of motivated women and men [yes! we do not discriminate by gender!] contributing to the discussion and we have set our elections meeting for this upcoming Wednesday.
I’ll keep you updated on all the great events we have.
Another reason this morning was great: I got to chat with 2 interviewees from California! They both seemed like very respectable gentlemen and I would be happy to have them join us next year. Also, a group of interviewees came by the Medical Student Lounge while we were having our AMWA meeting and we all got giddy with excitement to see them and show them our space. Also, I have to admit that I’m a huge fan of suited men so today was a field day!
Class was pretty much the same as it always is — I am just glad that I feel somewhat settled in now. I am slightly concerned about our TBL a week from today [especially since I’ll be flying out to L.A. right afterwards], but I am extremely confident in my TBL group and can’t wait to see us rock this assessment.
Anyway, it’s time that I get ready for my jog and enjoy a crepe at what crepe in Royal Oak!
