Today’s inane image of the day:
While I was on the interview trail, the lovely photo above suddenly started appearing everywhere I went. Apparently, every hospital I visited in metro-Detroit subscribes to Hour Detroit. Anyway, although I am by no means a focal point in the story, my face was blown up to a disproportionate size for the article [it’s more about OUWB as whole] – which is kind of cool but also a bit embarrassing. In fact, I briefly met a medical student from another local medical school during an interview and when I ran into him at a later date, he made a funny face at me then asked, “Were you in a magazine? I swear I saw you in one.” I chuckled and responded about the Hour Detroit article, to which he replied, “I knew I wasn’t crazy! I met you then saw your face again in the magazine. It was kind of creepy.” Ha.
A little while back, the folks at accepted.com reached out to me to do an interview. If you’re a newer reader to this blog, the interview is probably the best overview of my medical school experience. Anyway, check it out!

Very pretty picture! The styling of it is really neat, it does stand out!
Thanks! The photographer, Martin Vecchio (http://www.martinvecchio.com/) totally did a phenomenal job with it. I’m always amazed at what artists can do!
